You Have Been Watching...David Croft - RIP

Today is a very sad day, as I have just learnt that the marvelous David Croft OBE has passed away at the age of 89.

A statement has been released that said, he had passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family. A message on his official website said: 

"He was a truly great man, who will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing and loving him. We know that he would of been proud that you had all been watching.

He was most famous for his writing partnership with Jeremy Lloyd, and producing the best of British sitcoms, including Are You Being Served?, Dad's Army and 'Allo 'Allo.

He will be missed by his family, friends and of course his fans, and the fans of his wonderful shows. So I end this entry by saying you have been watching, David Croft. RIP, you will never be forgotten.
