Over the years there have been animated movies covering a whole array of subjects, from a girl and her little people; and ogre and his friends, and a fishy father looking for his lost son; but I think this is the first time we have seen some of our favourite computer-game heroes come to life.

Wreck-It Ralph (Reilly) wants nothing more than to be as beloved as his game's perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix (McBrayer). The only issue is, nobody loves a Bad Guy; but they do love heroes. So when the opportunity of a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (Lynch), Ralph takes that as his chance to become the much loved hero he dreams of. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan, win a medal; but soon he wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that could threaten every game in the arcade. What's Ralph's only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz (Silverman), a young "glitch" from a sugar-filled go-cart racing game who could be just person to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. The question is, will he do it in time to save the arcade.

Filled with plenty of comedy, heart and surprise cameos from the likes of Pacman's ghosts, and Bowzer (From the Mario series), there is something in this film for everyone; children, adults and video gamers everywhere. The animation is slick and colourful which will most certainly keep your children glued, whilst the comedy will most definitely please you parents out there. If there is a cartoon to watch next year, this is the one to see.
