Pete's Dragon was one of my favourite movies as a child and follows Pete who escapes from his abusive adoptive family with his pet dragon, Elliot. This movie however seems to follow a slightly different story, with Pete (Oakes Fegley) being found by a forest ranger (Bryce Dallas Howard) and her trying to find out the truth about the legendary dragon an why Pete has been alone in the woods all his life.
The teaser doesn't give much away about Elliot, the dragon's, appearence; but today Disney has released a first look at a slightly furrier looking dragon than people will remember.

The cast is rounded off by Robert Redford, Oona Laurence, Wes Bentley and Karl Urban. The remake is directed by David Lowery.
Pete's Dragon is set for release August 12, 2016.
