Steven Spielberg's The BFG now has a full length trailer.
Continuing with Disney's theme of reboots and remakes, Steven Spielberg has taken the reigns of their latest offering, an adaptation of Roald Dahl's The BFG.
As a child both the book and the 1989 cartoon were in the list of my favourites. The idea of a friendly giant taking a young girl, Sophie (newcomer Ruby Barnhill), to a magical new world full of snozzcumbers, whizzpoppers and the fearsome giants like Bloodbottler and Fleshlumpeater always excited me. As always Roald Dahl creats a fantastical world that let's your imagination run wild, so it seems fitting that Disney and Spielberg are taking it on.
Mark Rylance is starring as the BFG, and a supporting cast including Bill Hader, Jermaine Clement, Rebecca Hall and Penelope Wilton as The Queen.
The BFG is set for release on July 1, 2016 (USA), and July 22, 2016 (UK).
