The Red Turtle - Trailer

The trailer for animated feature The Red Turtle has been unveiled.

Wild Bunch and Studio Ghibli have joined together to tell a story about of a man who is stranded on an island populated by turtles and crabs, but lacking any human life. The castaway soon finds himself being tormented by a huge red turtle, which does all it can to stop the man from escaping the island, whilst simultaneously striking up an unusual bond.

I have always been a secret fan of Studio Ghibli's stunning films, and this film (which recently won the Un Certain Regard Special Prize at Cannes Film Festival) is especially intriguing as it features no dialogue.

The Red Turtle is set for release January 20, 2017 in the USA, with no UK release date announced yet.
