The first teaser for the fifth instalment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales, has set sail.
The teaser doesn't give too much away (except for a look at the haunting new villain), but the latest swashbuckling adventure sees Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) being paid a visit by his old nemesis, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), and his ghostly crew. They are out to kill every pirate at sea, including Captain Jack, and his only hope is to find the the legendary Trident of Poseidon.
Dead Men Tel No Tales sees the return of Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa; with Kaya Scodelario, Golshifteh Farahani, Brenton Thwaites and even Paul McCartney taking to the open water.
Dead Men Tell No Tales is set for release on May 26, 2017.
