The first full trailer for Disney's 2017 live action remake of Beauty and the Beast is finally here.
Set in France, Belle (Emma Watson)
is the quirky girl in the village who has never quite fit in. The
daughter of an inventor, she fins herself saving her father from the
clutches of a Beast (Dan Stevens), and stays with him to spare
her father from being imprisoned. The Beast was once a handsome but
arrogant prince, who had a curse put on him and his entire castle. Even
the maids, butlers and staff of the castle get affected and changed into
house hold objects. Only when the Beast is loved by someone despite his
appearance, will he learn his lesson and the curse can be broken.
In recent days we have seen quite a lot of sneak peeks and glimpses at the new live action Beauty and the Beast, so to finally have a full trailer is quite exciting. Now it has put many of my fears at ease, but it has also created a few more; with some questionable accents beijg put to use in quite a lot of the trailer. That aside you cant deny that this film is going to be huge, and even I can't help but get all tingly when I heard the the very beginning of the Beauty and the Beast overture.
The
supporting cast includes Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Audra McDonald,
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci as the castle staff,
Luke Evans and Josh Gad as Gaston and Le Fou, and Kevin Kline as Belle's
father, Maurice. The new adaptation is directed by Bill Condon.
Beauty and Beast is set for release on 17 March, 2017.
