Last Halloween I did a countdown of my top 5 horror films of all time; well this year I am going to do a countdown, but rather than my favourites of all time, I am going to look at my favourites of this Halloween season...It's now the turn of, Paranormal Activity 4.

The story takes place in 2011, five years after Katie killed her boyfriend Micah, sister Kristi, her husband Daniel and took their baby, Hunter. Paranormal Activity 4 focuses on Alex and her family, experiencing some pretty weird stuff after the new neighbours move across the street. When the neighbour falls ill, her son has to stay at Alex's house, and soon the the activity worsens. With everybody's lives put at risk, it soon becomes a desperate attempt to get some answers; little does Alex know, her younger brother Wyatt is in the most danger when the neighbours become particulary fond of him.

Paranormal Activity 4 is yet again a terrifc blend of genuine scares and brilliant plot twists. Admittedly the films are getting a bit predictable, but the creators always bring something new to the table, and rarely dissapoint. It is a terrific entry into the Paranormal Activity series, and with the recent announcement of a fifth being made and plenty of questions to be answered, I just hope they end it before they destroy it.
