Last Halloween I
did a countdown of my top 5 horror films of all time; well this year I
am going to do a countdown, but rather than my favourites of all time, I
am going to look at my favourites of this Halloween season...Finally, Sinister.
Sinister is a part ffound footage movie that follows a true-crime author as he works on his new book. He is trying to solve the mystery of a recent tragic murder that just so happened to take place in his new house. As he begins to make new discoveries about a whole string of seemingly unrelated murders, he discovers a world he never even dreamt of. With possession, demonic entities and even more graphic murders taking place, he begins to drive himself insane; as well as putting his wife and two kids in danger.
Sinister is by far the scariest film to be released this Halloween, which is why it sits firmly in my number one spot. It blends found footage and reality perfectly, resulting in some of the biggest scares I have ever experienced. I just hope yoy are ready to get the shiz scared out of you, because it will most definitely happen.
