We see a crew, on a coloy ship called Covenant, venturing to a remote planet in a distant part of the galaxy The team come across what they assume to be an undiscovered paradise, but it soon becomes apparent that they have found a gloomy and dangerous world, and the only inhabitant is the synthetic David, the only survivor of the failed Prometheus expedition.
Michael Fassbender reprises his role of David, with Noomi Rapace and Guy Pearce set to make small appearences too. New cast members include Jussie Smollett, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride and Demian Bichir.
Alien: Covenantt is due for release on May 12, 2017, UK; and 19 May, 2017, US.
